Stenciled Facade Pipes

Price: $900*

Some lovely orphans waiting for you to put them to good use!  These were decorated for us, by some very talented people for a project down in the Carolina’s.  Professionally painted incorporating several techniques (not traditionally employed) these pipes became redundant and have been sitting forlorn in storage for the past year. For display, these pipes will require additional means of support.

Although these pipes do speak, they are best suited now as decorative only (as they are comprised of several ranks). Use your imagination, and give these pipes new purpose! These pipes are made of a soft metal that will not support their own weight, thus need special racking.

*Priced as-is with no additional provisions made and no warranties, expressed or implied.

Wicks Opus 1231. 2/8

Price: $6500 *

Originally built for the Knox Funeral Home in Moline, IL in 1934, this intact  instrument was removed by Wicks in 2014 prior to the buildings demolition in a state project to widen a roadway.

It has been reassembled in our shop, and is playable for those interested to come see and hear from the original 1934 Wicks  relays (which are still working).  The original mainline from the console to the relay had been cut by the funeral home several years ago, and has been replaced with a temp line to make it playable. The combination action (with double touch pistons), has not been made functional.

Due to how this instrument is scaled and voiced, it would be the perfect candidate for a residential or small chapel/church installation. It really is a very fine instrument.

While available and priced As-Is, we do recommend refurbishing this instrument for continued reliability and safe operation.  We can provide this instrument refurbished mechanically and electrically for $75, 720. Please feel free to call and inquire about the specifics involved.

*This Instrument is priced as-is with no additional provisions made and no warranties, expressed or implied. Does not include blower/rectifier, relays or original cabling.

A 1983 vintage instrument, this organ was originally built for St. Matthew’s in Alton, Illinois. It has 8 ranks of pipes with extensions. There is a 16’ Posaune and a 16’ Bourdon. The 16’ Rohr Gedeckt uses the same pipes as the 16’ Bourdon, but it opens smaller valves under the pipes to create a softer sound.

The Swell and Great divisions are divided and both have pipe facades. The Swell has an enclosure with expression shades. The relay is a diode matrix system and the console has a Peterson solid-state combination action. The instrument is in good condition and some minor repairs are included in the price.
