We are always careful to use the finest raw materials in our organs. This is the way we best ensure the quality of the completed instrument.

Our chests and supports are made only from Sitka Spruce, a light wood with a dense, straight grain and few knots, kiln dried to a 6%-8% moisture content to prevent cracking or splitting. The same wood is used as structural components in airplanes, due to it's strength and light weight, and in the sounding boards of the finest pianos.

We cast our own pipe metal from ingots of pure tin and lead, mixed in specific proportions, usually 50% tin and 50% lead, or 60% tin and 40% lead. Our Direct-Electric® units are made from a special stainless steel alloy that resists corrosion and residual magnetization. The windings of each unit are carefully counted, and each unit is tested several times before it ever goes into an organ, including a test under high wind pressure and low DC voltage to simulate an adverse condition.
