Begun in the early 1900's, the Wicks Shop has grown to a collection of buildings encompassing over 140,000 square feet. The Wicks shop includes a large mill room and wood storage area, a CNC (computer numerically controlled) router, pipe shops capable of building full length 32 foot pipes, multiple voicing studios, a large erecting room for complete assembly and testing of every instrument, and several other facilities specially designed for the tasks involved in building a custom pipe organ. The latest addition was the erecting room tower built in 1984.
