Pedals, Pipes, & Pizza in Fort Smith

The Fort Smith Arkansas chapter of the American Guild of Organists hosted a Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza event on June 4 featuring a newly restored Wicks organ with 17 young adults ranging from 7th to 12th grade attended the event. It started at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church on Wicks Opus 5431. The group had tons of hands-on experience as they got to play a piano piece or hymn on the organ and even go on an organ crawl through the chambers. The Wicks Organ Company was happy to provde some educational materials for the attendees of the event. Special thanks to Bob Capra for allowing the use of his pipe display which showed our group the four families of organ pipes.

Those in attendance included: Andrew Bobel, Haley Cosner, Billy Dudding, Danielle Dudding, Andrea Foss, Marty Foss, Anna Hutain, Emily Hutain, Hope Knight, Suzi Land, Jennifer Lyle, Nick McFarland, Ashley McGehee, Lauren McGehee, Kevin Rogers, and Kendra Willbanks.
