New Chests and Actions
DIRECT-ELECTRIC actionThe most frequent cause of organ malfunction is a problem with the windchest. Pneumatic chests use perishable leather that decays and causes ciphers and dead notes. A small amount of water from a leaky roof or pipe can cause an entire chest to stop working. Wicks can replace the action in your existing chests with our DIRECT-ELECTRIC® action, giving you a more reliable action and one that doesn't require any releathering or seasonal readjustment, or Wicks can replace entire chests where necessary, often allowing existing pipework to be laid out more efficiently, giving room for other additions to the organ, or ease of maintenance.
